Historical Uses Of The Ranch

The historical land use at LK Ranch has been domestic cattle grazing and agriculture. Irrigated pastures in the lower elevations along Flag Creek are used to produce/harvest grass hay. This forage is then fed back out onto the meadows in the winter to help return the nutrients back to the soil. The cattle act as mobile composters.
